Time flies..guess what, I’ve been married for 7 years! The fact that I married at a relatively young age of 23 perhaps making me think “oh it’s ok I’m still young” that I didn’t actively trying to troubleshoot our fertility issues since the last few years. For the benefit my readers, let me share a piece of my “once upon a time”…
June 2006 – Me and DH got hitched!
End 2007 – Conceived naturally
Early 2008 – Miscarriage at 15wks due to infection in fallopian tube (bad fluid inside the tube, yikes!) Had D&C followed by Laparotomy surgery to clean my tubes @ Columbia Asia Puchong
2009 – HSG shows clear tubes but DH low sperm. Dr asked DH to take Himalaya Tribestan. Found out I had retroverted uterus too but Dr said nothing to worry about it
2009 – IUI @ LPPKN. Result BFN.
Since then, we were just focusing on other things in our life. I was just trying naturally as I think it’s just a matter of time that I’ll get pregnant again. All the while I have regular period with no signs of PCOS, cyst, endo etc. Alhamdulillah. I told my DH if there’s still no bun in the oven, I’m gonna proceed to do IVF once we have the budget. But tik tok tik tok..I realised that I’m gonna hit 3-series this year and DH is aging too! So here I am determined not to delay this effort any further.
After googling to find a suitable hospital/doctor, I decided to go to Dr Prashant from KL Fertility. With his vast experience and the clinic location, I have confidence to start my treatment there.
After soooo long, this is THE DAY!! I met with Dr Prashant and as usual, TVS to check how are things inside me..when I met him I was on D14 LMP so he could see close to 10 follicles for each ovary. No signs of fibroid/cyst. I also reaffirmed with him whether I had retroverted uterus. Yes indeed. But he said that would not be an issue to fertility. Then nurse Nabila gave a consultation about the procedure and the cost..For your info, the IVF package here cost RM17k. ICSI add RM500. Freezing embryo RM1,650 for 1st year. So all in all, I budgeted about RM20k because this will include few doctor visits before starting on the IVF medication. Pheww 
Next visit Dr wanted to see my last HSG film and DH to do Sperm Analysis. Total cost this visit RM350.
